Love

Love is saying good morning each day, saying good night with a kiss and a hug. It's a trust that couldn't be broken. It works, its practical, and yet its romantic and fun. Love is holding hands while watching a movie, and feeling safe. Love is being assured that no matter what, I'm loved, and accepted, quirks, emotions, bad habits and all. It's late night giggles over something that's only funny past 10pm, or long stem roses just because. Its picturing for the first time, someone you could have a family with, and be with every day, brushing your teeth side by side. It's patience and kindness, taking time to listen and understand. Growing and changing, serving and respecting. And so much more...but above all, love is knowing that God Himself brought it together.

Josh, I love you. Truly.

Waiting....

Why is waiting so hard? These songs express my emotions, feelings, and above all my desire in how I should be responding to my waiting...I'm learning to wait upon the Lord.

My Garden

Well as you can see it has sprouted! My previously potted plants in the back there, have grown really well, the snaps loved my miracle grow, and took off to 3 feet tall! The only thing that never sprouted were my daisies, so sad. But everything else is coming along great! I am excited to see some blooms pretty soon...My primroses have little munch marks on them, so there is some little creature coming in and eating those! grr...I put up some shade cloth just so my little seedlings didn't fry in the sun...anyways its amazing what a God does with one little seed!!

12:01am

My clock reads exactly that, and for some reason, I cannot sleep. Molly is laying next to me snuggled in her bed...snoring, I've never heard a dog snore so much. Side note: Molly is Brachycephalic dog. I learned this word recently on Dogs 101 on the Animal Planet. It means she has a smashed face, and shorter nose which cause shorter airways, this means that she has a soft pallet that might be longer then normal, and may cause loud breathing or SNORING! anyways...

My garden is now sprouting, pics to come.

The weather is changing...I'm not read for warmer weather, I am definitely one that prefers cool weather over the heat, and yes I lived in Arizona for 2 years...but hey as they say its a DRY heat. I guess I'm just not one to where shorts (I actually don't own a pair) or a bathing suit (I do own one of those unfortunately) see I've been known to clear the beach and light it up at night with my pale glowing skin. I mean you have to wear darker sunglasses if you're around me in a bathing suit...

I went shopping for a hamper today...yes a hamper. I found one I really liked at Target, but then I looked at the price. 50 dollars for a hamper. a HAMPER!!! who the heck would spend 50 bucks on a hamper (if you have, I apologize but that's ridiculous), so I am just going to keep my old basket that's falling apart. Its just laundry anyways.

It's now 12:09am. If I keep writing I'm not sure what else would come out...I'm not even sure who reads this haha but thanks :)

Night night

Something Holy

Stellar Kart has been a band that I've followed for about 3 years now. They are my favorite band...a Christian pop-punk group that originated from Phoenix Arizona. I purchased their latest album a few weeks back and this song below was still being recorded as a bonus track for media download only. I received it and downloaded it instantly. This song really made me think. I constantly fret, worry, fear, and often complain that my life isn't all together, but I'm then reminded that our lives are part of a bigger picture that we cannot see or comprehend at times...We were all created for Holiness, acts of holiness, a life of holiness, growing in holiness, etc. Listen below....

My Spring Garden

I started a new hobby about 2 years ago, when I moved back to California, gardening. I find it very therapeutic digging in the dirt and turning over the soil to prepare it. Then planting the seeds one by one (or in my case I kinda do the scatter effect). I love watching it each day to see changes as the sprouts begin to grow. I don't kno why but I find it so fascinating, how easily it takes for a seed to grow with the proper care. Now I could go on and on about analogies about life, but I'm sure you've all heard at least one or two :) I am going to keep you posted as my garden grows, but here are the first pictures, I got 2 stepping stones for Christmas, and I planted 4 groups of Primroses, as well as the plants Josh transplanted (snapdragons and petunias). My seeds this year were, poppies, daisies, imperials, carnations and some scattered wildflowers! Check back to see how its growing! :)

Doctor Appointment

Ok so I really do not like the doctors office. Most of you know I have an anxiety disorder. So going to the doctor isn't my favorite thing. To start if off I have to park in a parking garage, next is the elevator...ok side note I think the elevator is a great invention but its just not for people who don't like tight spaces or are claustrophobic...SO I took the staris, ya so what my doctors office was on the 4th floor..I needed the exercise. Then comes the waiting part, now keep in mind I wasn't going in to get anything "done" or whatever, I was just talking to my doctor for a follow up. Well they stick you in a room thats smaller then my bathroom (luckily there was a window) but then the little nurse has to SQUEEZE my arm to take my blood pressure, which I have said before, that in itself raises my blood pressure. Then its "the doctor will be in in a minute" (praise the Lord, my doctor is an awesome Christian woman who is worthe the wait) So I was told that everything I'm doing is fine, except she wants to run a blood work panel on me. Ok so I have a question: how is someone with an anxiety issue SUPPOSED TO GET THEIR BLOOD DRAWN??? I mean seriously. So I took the blood work and went back to my car. ha. So now I have to contimplate how I am going to go about doing this....

oh and why does every doctor office have that heavy feeling of eeriness, and the smell of extremely sterilized surfaces? why can't there be cheerful music playing and fresh cut flowers? and why not a scented candle to lighten the senses? I mean c'mon!

Children ages 3-5

This is a typical "preschool" age group. The 5 year olds are at an age where they are so independent. They are willing to venture out on their own, making friends, and making their own choices and exploring their atmosphere. The 4's are at the point where they are ready to make friends but are still learning the process of social development. They are competent to usually control their words and actions and have come to the point of knowing that their behavior effects others. Then there are the 3 year olds. Yes the three's. What makes this age so fascinating is that one minute they are the sweetest snuggle bugs, and then the next they are quiet little instigators in a catostrophic classroom breakdown. And strangly enough, this is my favorite age to work with. Why? I'm beginning to wonder. So I examine myself.
1. They love to sit on your lap during a story time.
2. They're fascinated with songs and music.
3. When you come through the door in the morning they run to you with hugs yelling "Miss Kelly!"
4. Most are really curious and eager to learn at this age.
5. They love messy art and don't care about paint on their clothes.
6. They're language is still developing, so you get things like "tookie" and "yogoot" or "pincess"
7. They love when you get down on the floor to play with them.

These are just some of the things I love...but in the very next moment...Hailey strangles Audrey, Christopher pushes Matt, G.G. throws a tantrum, Katie won't wipe her snotty nose, Aaron pee's on the blocks, Gavin and Jordan ignore your directions, Sophia pulls a friends blanket, Audrey bites Hailey's arm, Devon scratches Ryan's neck, Savannah won't share, Ryan throws a block, Audrey pulls out Hailey's hair, and Alyssa steps on Matt's fingers. Wow. This was my classroom this week. It's amazing that I only get a 10 minute break in the morning. 17 three year olds in one classroom should be illegal. Especially with that many personalities....

Yet in my heart I know that sometimes the most difficult children to love, are the ones that need it the most.

It is sad and yet not surprising that this video is trying to be banned for a lack of "political correctness"
